I've just had a quick play with Flickr and it has amazing potential. The GUI you see in the image above is created using Flash. You can join various chatrooms and upload images. In the chat window the images are presented as a thumbnail and if you click on one it is presented in another window. If you wish you can save it to your 'shoebox'.

Only publically launched yesterday (as a beta app), there are only a small amount of users subscribed but that's bound to change as news spreads.
