A man stabbed his wife to death after she cut off his penis with a breadknife, police in the central German city of Kessel said.

The 50-year-old woman died of her injuries in hospital after her husband, a 37-year-old man of Ghanaian origin, stabbed her during a domestic dispute on Wednesday.

The woman had previously sliced off her husband's penis during the fight.

Police said surgeons sewed the severed organ back on after the man was detained and taken to hospital. His condition was not known.

Well, I can certianly understand that. If my girlfriend cut off my penis I do believe I would want to kill her, and in a fit of rage just might. However, I am a firm believer that revenge should be punished. I am sure he will get something like mansluaghter since I cannot imagine a greater severe emotional distress than having ones penis cut off. However, revenge is never ok, perhaps if she had still been attacking him it would be self defense, maybe he'll get off on self defense anyway, or maybe temporary insanity. Hell, if can get a woman off for slicing a penis off, why not a man who had his sliced off. If anything could drive someone crazy that could.
