Google Adsense Updated

Seen over at Google Blogoscoped, Google have introduced some welcome changes to their Adsense programme. You can now choose from three new payment methods. They are...

# A cheque in your local currency (43 currencies supported)
# A securely delivered local currency cheque
# Direct payment into a bank account (15 countries supported)

The last option will speed up payments greatly. Google have also added some new ad types in the form of Ad Links and changed the terms and conditions so that you can disclose how much you earn from Adsense (providing it is only a total and not a breakdown of click-through rates).

On a related topic, my ads have started to change. Bizarrely, they have changed to adverts for companies that sell French Fries. I posted a story about French Fries a few days ago but it no longer appears on the front page. Do Google keep some sort of history on things that have appeared on a web site recently but may no longer appear there?
