Predjama castle in Slovenia is apparently one of the most visited castles in Europe and is built on the side of a cliff. Part of the castle is alongside the cliff, the other part is inside a cave. The cave, called Erazmova Jama has 4 levels with the deepest level being filled with the river Lovka. The castle is built into the huge entrance of the middle level.
