Microsoft: PS3 or Beer?
For the European launch of the PS3, Microsoft delivered 7 crates of Fosters and an Xbox 360 to the offices of CVG magazine. The aim was to highlight the fact that with the extra money you save by buying a 360 instead of a PS3, you can invest in a ton of beer.
Unfortunately for Microsoft, they blew a good promotional opportunity by choosing a crappy beer. I think I'll take the PS3 and the bottle of Becks. [via]

Yes, but why Fosters? Atleast they could have bought a decent Australian beer! (Yes I am an Aussie)

I want a 360 + all halo games...and KOTOR.... Otherwise Ill cradle my beloved PS2....which costs a 1/3rd of what a new Xbox 360 costs =)
Ill go buy a pizza some games, and of course a hefty carton of icecream to Nom on while I play games in the bargin bin =)

Yes, Fosters is a truly dreadful beer. But then I'm afraid Becks isn't much better - it's all lowest common denominator nonsense concocted in huge beer factories, as opposed to being carefully crafted with the best ingredients by a dedicated brewer. Visit my blog - Stonch's Beer Blog - for lots more about quality beer. Cheers.

I've got both consoles, and I've got to say at the moment I'm all about the 360, even though I've only had the PS3 for a couple of weeks and I have all the launch titles. Gears Live is just so addictive.

360 + many hours of drinking and fine games... or 1 bottle and an overpriced console with no decent games......
wish they delivered it to me

No decent games? PS3 has some. And for being the newest gameing unit out there, its pretty dam good. Have you even played the games for the PS3. Fall of Man is a GREAT game. Plus does 360 help out researcing a cure for cancer and other illnesses? PS3 does. Its called Folding@Home, by Stanford University.
Overpriced? well I guess when you pay for your system all at once its "overpriced" I love how Micro$oft makes you PAY to add things to your system to make it more like the PS3. You have to buy the HD-DVD drive separate.
Yes, the best beer in the world is free beer.
