Bugatti Building A Car Faster Than The Veyron?

Is this the next car from Bugatti? German website Motor Auto und Sport have posted a series of drawings which could be a car that will be more expensive, more powerful and faster than the Veyron.

Going under the codename of 'Project Lydia' - named after Ettore Bugatti's wife - the car will be designed for the track but still road legal. Motor Auto und Sport say that the car produce 1,175 hp, exceed 400 km/h and get a Nurburgring lap time of 6 minutes and 40 seconds.

Like with the Veyron, only the rich need apply. It is estimated that one could cost Є2.5 million.

The project has yet to get the greenlight and was originally due for release next year. Apparently, VW Group CEO Martin Winterkorn has put the project on hold. Link
