Video: Plane Gets Struck By Lightning

Would have been interesting to have been on that plane. I wonder what the passengers would have experienced.

haha "I'm going inside". That was the best voice for such a statement. Anyways I've been working with airplanes enough to tell you what that kinda thing does to an airplane. With a metal covered aircraft like the jet shown, nothing much normally happens. With a fabric covered aircraft you'll see a small pinhole in the skin where it was struck, or a huge fireball, depending on where it hits. Either way the people inside probably experienced nothing more than a very annoying boom as the exterior of the plane acts as a Faraday Cage, though touching the skin or frame of the aircraft could possibly give you a jolt.
