Video: T-Mobile Trafalgar Square Karaoke Advert

T-Mobile invited thousands of people to Trafalgar Square to record the follow up to the 'Liverpool Street Station' advert

T-Mobile provided the crowd with microphones and then got them to sing along to a number of tunes including Britney Spears' "Hit Me Baby One More Time", The Foundations' "Build Me Up Buttercup" and "Hey Jude".

The event was hosted by Vernon Kay [video] and was attended by Pink [video].

The advert will be broadcast during Britain’s Got Talent on Saturday May 2 at 9pm on ITV1.

Eddy Current Tubes -- Drop the Magnets down the tube. An eddy current is set up in a conductor in response to a changing magnetic field. Lenz's law predicts that the current moves in such a way as to create a magnetic field opposing the change; to do this in a conductor, electrons swirl in a plane perpendicular to the changing magnetic field.

Because the magnetic fields of the eddy currents oppose the magnetic field of the falling magnet; there is attraction between the two fields. Energy is converted into heat. This principle is used in damping the oscillation of the lever arm of mechanical balances.

According to scienticians, this faint dot is the farthest thing we've ever seen. The light from the star started it's journey 630 million years after the Big Bang! Man Fired, Returns Home To Find House Burning

Victor Gonzalez thought his Friday couldn't get any worse when he got the sack from his job but when he returned home he discovered his house was on fire. Being the optimist, Gonzalez said if he wasn't fired he wouldn't have got home to catch his house from burning down completely.

Google Street View Car 'Ducks' To Avoid Low Bridge

A Google Street View car in Pittsburgh, Pa. had to 'duck' when it encountered a bridge that was too low to allow it to pass with its camera extended on its stalk. As soon is it got to the other side of the bridge it extended it again.

Man Lands Plane After Pilot Dies

A passenger has landed a twin-engine King Air plane in Florida after its pilot died during the flight. 56-year-old Doug White had a pilot's license but had only recently resumed flying in a Cessna 172 and had no experience flying the larger and faster King Air. He was guided by air traffic controllers and landed the plane which was carrying his family some 30 minutes after the pilot lost consciousness. Link
