Britney's comeback performance (see video) at the MTV VMA's on Sunday may have been bad for her career but have been a boon for Viacom, MTV's parent company.
User's flocked to the site to view Britney forget words that she was only required to lip-sync and bungle across the stage with little coordination.
On Sunday, MTV.com saw 2.6 million visitors log on, a tally that broke the site's previous record for daily traffic. The site also delivered 7 million video streams by Monday afternoon, which topped the previous best day of 6.7 million.
It also appears (judging by my statistics) that her lack lustre performance has inspired people to search for this infamous upskirt photos.
