The list only goes up to 2003 but here are 1,001 movies you must see before you die. I haven't seen a great number of movies before the 1980s so I'd better start catching up.

A Russian news channel has broadcast footage of the aftermath of one of James Bond's Aston Martin that was trashed while filming the opening scene of Quantum of Solace.
The driver lost control of 007 Daniel Craig's £130,000 DBS beside Lake Garda in Northern Italy -where the opening action scenes for new Bond movie Quantum Of Solance are being filmed - early yesterday.
He swam ashore and was taken to hospital with minor injuries. The crumpled car was later pulled out of the water by a crane.
Judging by the footage at the end of the clip, Bond has still got more Aston Martins to play with (five to be exact). [via]
Update: The Telegraph has an article that includes an interview with the stunt driver and photos.

A source inside New Line has revealed that plans for Freddy vs. Jason 2 are off, as is the A Nightmare on Elm Street prequel. The source says that Freddy is gearing up to return in a new Nightmare on Elm Street installment but doesn't reveal any more than that. I loved the Nightmare on Elm Street series (well most of them) and would love to see another installment or a remake. [via]
Mysterious Cloverfield monsters are to blame. Personally I think the CGI is quite poor.

Vanity Fair has a new feature article on Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, which includes a few new behind the scenes photos. Slashfilm has them along with the article.
Elizabeth McAlpine has compiled the whitest frame from 1500 cinematic explosions into a one minute film.
"McAlpine's movie LIGHT READING 1500 cinematic explosions offers the viewer an endless climax. Splicing together hundreds of detonations from action movies the viewer is confronted by a continuous wave of white light occasionally punctuated by a blaze of yellow and an iconic building. Suggestive of a nuclear flash or the celestial vision of a born again Christian, the flickering screen could also be interpreted as a portal to another dimension."

Fox have released some scenes from the upcoming Alien vs Predator: Requiem movie due for release at the end of the year. The shots feature a predator and a 'predalien'. Hopefully this movie will be better than the first which if I remember correctly wasn't too great.

The last clip is hilarious!
It's had working titles of John Rambo, Rambo IV: End of Peace, Rambo IV: In the Serpent's Eye, Rambo IV: Pearl of the Cobra and Rambo: To Hell and Back but the final title of the fourth Rambo film will simply be called Rambo.
A collection of some strange movie posters.
A montage of movies and animations that use the 'Wilhelm' scream. I've never heard of the scream before but I recognise it. The IMDB lists over 100 movies that have used it and there are two more montages here and here.
Take the test and find out. I'm definitely not a movie freak.
Update: Here's another quiz.

For those living in the UK, tomorrow night at 10pm the Sci-Fi Channel is broadcasting the first 10 minutes of the new sci-fi thriller The Invasion starring Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig. The movie has already been released in the US but is not due to be released over here until the 12th October.
I was invited to a press screening of the movie tonight but as it was in London I couldn't go. It's a pity as I bet it would be shown in that awesome digital cinema that I saw Ratatouille in.
I think showing the first 10 minutes of a movie is a great way of enticing people to take a trip to the cinema to watch the movie but I think I'll wait until this weekend and watch it in the cinema.
Note: Apparently the poster above is an unreleased version - the movie poster that is seen everywhere is red.

It seems like an age since I saw Ratatouille in London but it's finally due to be released in the UK (12th Oct). It seems that the version I saw was the US version as one of the character's voices has been replaced with TV chef Jamie Oliver. He will provide the voice for a morose restaurant inspector.
The Sun has an video interview with Jamie Oliver that shows him in the studio with writer and director Brad Bird.
Starting tomorrow (26th September) until October 7th, 6 features and a selection of short films from The Raindance Film Festival are going to be broadcast on the Internet at the same time as they are shown at the festival.
This will be the world's first digital film festival and you can view it for free here. The original press release which includes details of the features and shorts can be found here.

Indiana Jones 4 star Shia LeBeouf may have revealed the official name of the movie.
“So I’ve been sworn to secrecy by Steven Spielberg and George Lucas not to tell you the title of the next Indiana Jones movie. What the hell, I’m 21 and we’re in Vegas, baby, so here it goes. The official title to the next Indiana Jones installment: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.”
I prefered City of Gods.
Seeing as filming only started on June 18th, it's not surprising that there isn't much revealed in this teaser trailer for Indiana Jones 4.
It looks like the sequel to Alien vs Predator is going to be a lot more violent and gruesome than the first movie. View the trailer here.
Deputy Dog list 13 of the worst fake accents in film. You can add Ryan Phillippe's awful Dutch accent in Five Fingers to the list. I watched the movie this week and in parts I think he forgot he was supposed to be Dutch and went back to talking in his American accent. Not a bad film though.
I loved the first movie. The second movie, currently called Harold & Kumar Go To Amsterdam, is due out sometime next year.
Ten movies that were tragically cut down before their time.
Deputy Dog lists 5 movie trailers that ruin the movie they are trying to promote. I'd add Evan Almighty to that list. I watched the movie without seeing the trailer and all throughout the movie wondered if the flood would come but the trailer features the flood and actually shows the finalé.
