Japan seems to be a place where you'd actually look forward to watching adverts.
T-Mobile invited thousands of people to Trafalgar Square to record the follow up to the 'Liverpool Street Station' advert
T-Mobile provided the crowd with microphones and then got them to sing along to a number of tunes including Britney Spears' "Hit Me Baby One More Time", The Foundations' "Build Me Up Buttercup" and "Hey Jude".
The event was hosted by Vernon Kay [video] and was attended by Pink [video].
The advert will be broadcast during Britain’s Got Talent on Saturday May 2 at 9pm on ITV1.

What do you think of the new Simspsons opening sequence?
Suresh Joachim, a Canadian Tamil, has watched TV for 72 hours to beat his previous record of 69 hours, 48 minutes, set in 2005.
"I feel fine, I drank between 25 and 30 cups of coffee," Joachim said Sunday.
Joachim, who also has 53 other records to his name, watched three seasons of 24 during the 72 hours. Link
Tonight was the first time that I had seen the latest advert for Cadbury's Dairy Milk and it's as good as the others.
Superbowl fans in Arizona got a surprise when their TV coverage of game was interrupted by a pornographic film.
Only fans of Tucson-based KVOA-TV saw the clip which parent company Comcast says was the result of an isolated malicious act.
TMZ has the (censored) footage.

A preview of some of this year's Superbowl ads. At around $3 million per 30-second slot, some of the ads running this year (e.g. Dreamwork's Monsters vs. Aliens) could cost around $9 million! [via]
An advert for Snickers featuring Mr T that was taken off the air after receiving just 2 complaints.
The real reason that the advert was taken off the air was because a U.S.lobby group called the Human Rights Campaign the campaign even though it hadn't aired in the States.
The group criticised Mars – which makes Snickers – for condoning ‘the notion that the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community is a group of second class citizens and that violence against GLBT people is not only acceptable but humorous’.
This is despite the advert, as well as another featuring Mr T being received positively in the UK. [via]
I'm glad we don't have anooying advertisements like this over here...yet! [via]
Channel 4 have broadcast an ambitious advert by Honda which shows a group of 19 professional skydivers spelling out the company's name live from the skies above Spain. The team had just three minutes and 20 seconds to execute the advert and managed to do it without a hitch.
The advert itself is pretty uneventful but it was the first live television advert to be broadcast in Britain. I was unaware that it was going to be broadcast so was little confused when it appeared.
The Guardian has more about the advert and Idents.tv has the advert in a variety of formats.
MovieMistakes.com has 143 Simpsons continuity errors and I don't think I've noticed a single one.

Autoblog is reporting that the car in the upcoming Knight Rider TV series is going to be a Shelby GT500KR.
K.I.T.T.'s trademark running red light bar has been relocated up and into two nostrils that sit atop the GT500KR's hood. It's a natural fit, though we have to question the silver stripes that, while a trademark of the GT500KR, are totally harshing on K.I.T.T.'s blacked-out super stealth persona.

The Sun has an interview with Garon Michael, a 'professional gorilla impersonator', who played the gorilla in the well-known Cadbury Dairy Milk advert.
Fox is developing a spin-off series of Prison Break, which would be set in a women's prison.
The Hollywood Reporter says that the series is tentatively titled 'Prison Break: Cherry Hill' and would focus on Molly, a character who will be introduced later in the new series of 'Prison Break'.
Molly is an upper-middle-class wife whose family is destroyed by The Company and who travels to the Panamanian prison where Michael (Wentworth Miller) and Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) are held in her quest for revenge.

'Cherry Hill' would find Molly serving life in a women's prison for her acts of vengeance.
She has accepted her fate until she discovers that some of her family may be alive.
If the new series doesn't get the green light, Molly will continue as a regular character on 'Prison Break'.

LocateTV is a new site that aims to help you search for your favourite TV shows and see when they are being broadcast. Rather than searching through a TV guide looking to see when your favourite shows may be on, you can use LocateTV to quickly view all channels that the programme is being broadcast on and information about each episode.
At present the site has TV listing for the UK (including regions), Ireland and the US (by ZIP code). It is currently in closed beta but they will be launching soon. If you would like to take a look at the site before it launches, let me know and I'll get an invite sent to you.
How cool is this advert for Cadbury's Dairy Milk? I saw it for the first time tonight and had no idea what the advert was about and was trying to work out if the gorilla was real or fake.
The 90 second advert is part of £6.2m campaign for Dairy Milk and was launched last Friday during the Big Brother 8 final. It was written and directed by Sony Bravia 'balls' creative director Juan Cabral of Fallon London.

An old McDonald’s commercial featuring the original Ronald McDonald. I'm not sure when the advert aired but it if this history of the McDonald's logo is correct then it wouldn't have aired before 1968.
Web only Family Guy episodes are to be released on MySpace. The first episode features Stewie and Brian as late-night talk show hosts. Future 10 minute episodes will be released periodically throughout the year as part of a viral marketing campaign. You can view the first episode here.

Only Father Ted fans will find this article interesting. It's about two Irish islands that are feuding over the right to compare themselves to Craggy Island from the show Father Ted.
The largest of the two islands, Inis Mor is holding a "Friends of Ted" festival next month in a bid to help it win the title. Events will include a Father Jack Cocktail Evening, the Father Dougal Breakfast Movie Charades, the Lovely Girls Contest and Charity Auction and A Song for Europe.
Also featured on the bill are the Toilet Duck Comedy Awards, Crazy Golf, Hide A Nun and Seek, Ludo Aerobics, Buckeroo Speed Dating and a Ferrero Rocher Quiz Night.

Choose And Watch, one of the better TV sites, has been issued a warning from the MPAA asking them to close the site within 72 hours or face legal action. They have chosen not to close the site stating that they are linking to channels and not streaming them from our servers.
It makes sense but legally I'm not sure where they stand. They are not linking to illegal content although it may bethe sites providing the streaming content may not allow the content to be linked from an external site.
