Superbowl AD Rate $2.25 Million

MENAFN: Superbowl AD Rate $2.25 Million

The cost of advertising on the Super Bowl has gone up again - to $2.25 million for a 30-second commercial, according to Advertising Age magazine.

In all, there are 62 commericials (excluding pre-game and half time) available during the game.

At an average cost of $2.25 milion per spot, that means that advertisers will be paying - in total - about $1.61 per viewer to drive home their ad messages. The Super Bowl continues to defy trends in TV, which has seen men slipping to cable TV and elesewhere.

With such large viewing figures the television network showing the game can still charge what they want.
