The Star Online: Baffled by ‘pull’ of farmer
Farmer Tan Kok Thai has found instant fame in Tanjung Rambutan with a body that can attract rocks, metal, plastic and rubber items, pieces of wood and even bananas.
He has left people in the town completely amazed by his mind-boggling feats – spectators often find it hard to believe their eyes when they see a hefty piece of rock sticking to Tan’s chest.
The 66-year-old has even demonstrated the ability to lift two bicycles tied to a chopper attached to his body.
The long list of items he has successfully experimented with includes remote controls, an air conditioner, electric irons, knives, canned food and tubes of toothpaste.
Tan said he started to stick stones on his body some 10 days ago and, after much practise, he could now keep a piece of rock weighing 38.5kg stuck to his chest.
I do believe we have seen this lark many times before. Many thinks stick to slightly damp skin, and the larger the surface area, the stronger the overall adhesion. Try it yourself - lick the bowl of a spoon and stick it to your nose so it dangles...sorry, that's a silly uncle trick, isn't it! Well, that's what is happening here.
Wonder how he would go with some simple talcum powder sprinkled liberally on his chest? Also, notice how our amazing guy is leaning backwards? Wonder how he would go leaning forwards...

Wow, some old dude has figured out a way to balance bananas on his chest by leaning backwards! Cool! What does he do for an encore, wear a hat on his head?

I think he should take a bath.
Things would probably stop sticking on him.
