I can find things i've posted on newsgroups as a irrespnsible teen dating back to 1995 (Thankfully under a "Handle" and hotmail account).
Thats 11 years old!
Of course, that was back when the internet was still fairly new. Nobody really thought about the possibility of something they say on a whim being left up for everyone to see for so long. Its sort of unfair, really.
Its a wonder that google can keep those sort of archived messages for so long. Seems sort of a violation of rights... Oh well.
Word to the wise, never ever post in newsgroups. Those damn things will stay around forever.
